Does this sound familiar to you?
"I'm going to start eating well next week."
"I'm going to start running once my knee feels better."
"I'm going to start exercising when all these things at work are done."
"Once the kids go back to school, I'll eat better and start to exercise."
Has your health improved in the last 6 months?
Are you eating better?
Are you exercising?
Have you lost weight or has the scale continued to go up? Even worse, are you now afraid of the scale?
As a personal trainer I hear all these reasons to delay starting an exercise program quite frequently. The truth is, the perfect time is never going to get here. The time to make a change is NOW.
What happens if you keep waiting? Your health and fitness goals wont just stay where they are, they will actually move further and further away. If you keep eating the way you are currently eating, you will keep getting more and more of the same. If your activity level stays where it is, your fitness level will get worse as you are not doing anything to promote the healing process.
You may feel paralyzed as you don't know where to start. How do I change my eating habits? How do I get stronger? How do I burn fat?
Is exercise easy? At first, maybe not. Will exercising get easier? Yes. Will you gain confidence with a proper program that gives you small successes every time you step in to the gym. Your energy levels will improve as your nutrition habits improve.
Do you need help setting appropriate goals? You may actually be aiming to low, hard to believe, I know. Your self limiting beliefs might be stopping you from achieving what you really want to achieve. Getting started with an appropriate program and finally starting to move towards the body you deserve and the energy levels you've only dreamed of is just a message away. Just contact me and together, we'll start moving in the right direction.
In short, I believe fitness means having no limits. It means that if you want to go dancing, you can go dancing. It means if you want to go for a run, you can go for a run. If you go on vacation and there is a hike required to get to a beautiful view, you will have no objections!
You may think that achieving this level of fitness is difficult, or that it will take too long. I won't lie to you. It does require effort, it will take some time. This part can be quite enjoyable when properly planned. The time required really is dependent on the person but the truth is, the sooner you start working towards your fitness goals, the sooner you will achieve them.
